Goiás Government support the AgAv Congress 2026
Meeting between Sindag’s director Cláudio Oliveira and Goiás Secretary Pedro Rezende also addressed the bill to classify ag aviation as an activity of public and economic interest in the Midwest state
The Goiás State Department of Agriculture, in Brazil’s Midwest region, has confirmed its support for the Brazilian Agricultural Aviation Congress (AgAv Congress) 2026, scheduled to take place from August 19 to 21 in the city of Goianápolis. The announcement was one of the key topics discussed between Sindag’s operational director, Cláudio Júnior Oliveira, and Goiás Agriculture Secretary Pedro Leonardo de Paula Rezende, last 21th. Oliveira was accompanied by Goiás agricultural aviation entrepreneur Mauro Moura, who also serves as deputy mayor of Flores de Goiás, a municipality in the northeastern part of the state.
Another major point on the agenda was the progress of State Bill PLO 301/25, currently under review at the Goiás Legislative Assembly. The proposal can officially recognize agricultural aviation as an activity of “relevant social, public, and economic interest” in the state. The bill was introduced by State Representative Amauri Ribeiro (União Brasil party), has been under legislative review since last year, and is supported by the state government.
COUNTDOWN
With fewer than 200 days remaining until the event, the Brazilian AgAv Congress 2026, hosted at the Liberty Aeronautical Condominium, has already moved into its second round of booth reservations for its trade show, which will feature aircraft displays, new technologies, and industry services. With an updated layout designed to enhance business opportunities and sector promotion, the 2026 edition is expected to provide an even stronger environment for networking and commercial engagement.
Organizers are also aiming to surpass the results of the 2025 edition, held in Santo Antônio de Leverger, in the neighboring state of Mato Grosso. That event attracted more than 4,000 registered attendees, featured 233 exhibiting brands, and welcomed participants from 12 countries and 22 Brazilian states.
Partnership-building
In addition to discussions about the upcoming congress, Oliveira’s schedule in Goiás also included a series of visits aimed at strengthening partnerships for the August event and supporting initiatives to enhance and promote the state’s agricultural aviation sector.
The itinerary included meetings with GY Prop Shop (propeller and governor maintenance services), Sicoob Nova Central (a financial cooperative), Sebrae Agro Hub in Goiás (supporting small businesses), and OCB/GO, the state organization representing Brazil’s cooperative system. The agenda also included visits to the Federation of Industries of Goiás (Fieg) and CSA Aircraft Maintenance.
