The National Union of Agricultural Aviation Companies – SINDAG expresses its deep regret at the passing of Grant Lane, CEO of Lane Aviation and who for decades was a partner of Brazilian agricultural aviation and SINDAG itself. In addition to the AGAV Congress, whose 2023 edition takes place next week in Sertãozinho/SP, now also paying homage to him.

The trajectory of Grant and his father, George Lane (1920-2003) is intertwined with the history of modern agricultural aviation. Especially for the commercial partnership with Leland Snow, when he was taking his first steps as the innovative designer and manufacturer, as well as the founder of Air Tractor.

This synergy was also reflected in Brazil, helping to improve the work of our ag aviation operators in protecting crops and developing sustainable agriculture. Helping us, by the way, to have one of the best agricultural aviation in the world.

Also motivating the improvement of Brazilian manufacturers of on-board technologies – which began to produce equipment to enhance the performance of aircraft in crops or in fighting fires in our country.
